Wellington Road Median Irrigation Repairs Underway

After years of 311 requests and repeated outreach to CD10 and StreetsLA, we’re happy to report some long-awaited progress on the Wellington Road medians.

During the week of October 5, StreetsLA repaired and replaced the three main irrigation valves serving our three medians, which had been damaged by vandalism. Far East Landscaping, the City of Los Angeles contractor responsible for maintaining the medians, has also been working this week to replace missing manifold components, install new irrigation timers, and repair leaking drip lines.

With cooler weather arriving and the irrigation system nearly functional again, the WSIA Beautification Committee can finally begin turning its attention from irrigation problems to sprucing up our medians and bringing some new life to these important neighborhood spaces.
